There is money in menopause, but personal trainers and gyms aren’t meeting this massive market with the respect it deserves. This is one of the many take-home messages from Maria Luque, Phd, an Austin, Texas-based personal trainer, fitness and menopause expert, and health science professor.
Dr Maria Luque is a valuable resource in the menopause world and was a welcome guest on my podcast. I also consider her an ally and often discuss the latest research around menopause and how that can help our community. Often menopausal women have no idea where to start in their fitness journey and don't know how to parse down the complicated information around exercise into actionable steps. Maria helps women in menopause to understand how impactful exercise can be on many levels; from emotional wellbeing and improved quality of life, to positively helping with longevity and health outcomes.
